Artist: Frances Lozéar
Frances lives on a farm near Clarens and is almost constantly on exhibition. She was born in Zimbabwe in 1976 and at the age of seven they came to South Africa.

She spent some of her childhood in Cape Town and Somerset West, but most of it was in the mining town of Welkom. Her uncle and later Ashley Johnson, a comtemporary artists encouraged her to persue her career as an artist.

Six years ago a very serious car accident changed her life. The near-death experience made her treasure life, her love for art, people and nature. She quit her job, leaving behind the shackles of a 9-5 job. She moved to Clarens - the mountains, the space and the beauty made her feel as if she arrived home.

Frances Lozéar won the Boland Art Competition with a Native American called "Know who you are in every age". The ABSA Atellier Competition also rated her among the Top 100 artists in South Africa. Her last exhibition called "the eternal love to come" was insprired buy a tragic fatal car-accident by a close friend. She says: "Any loss inspires us to realise the interconnectedness of life. Love embraces in totality - the self first, others, animals and our universe"
